  • 2 cups Chicken Broth or vegetable broth
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream or whole milk
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce or soy sauce
For the Vegetables

  • 1 medium Red Bell Pepper or green bell pepper
  • 1 medium Green Bell Pepper optional
  • 3 cloves Garlic or garlic powder

Equipment

  • Large Skillet

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by patting the chicken wings dry with paper towels and season them with kosher salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne. Allow wings to rest.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Sear wings for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Transfer to a plate and keep warm.
  3. In the same skillet, add the chopped yellow onion and both bell peppers. Sauté over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until softened. Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
  4. Reduce heat to medium-low, add butter, and let it melt. Whisk in flour to make a roux and cook for about 2 minutes. Gradually add chicken broth while whisking, then stir in heavy cream and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer until thickened.
  5. Return seared chicken wings to the skillet and coat them with gravy, topping with sautéed vegetables. Cover and simmer on low heat for 30-40 minutes.
