Ingredients

For the Stir-Fry
  • 1 pound Shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 8 ounces Snow Peas trim ends
  • 8 ounces Mushrooms sliced
  • 3 cloves Garlic freshly minced
For the Sauces
  • 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce low-sodium optional
  • 2 tablespoons Oyster Sauce substitute with hoisin for vegetarian
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil toasted recommended
For Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Cooking Oil high smoke point

Equipment

  • Wok or Skillet

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by setting a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add a couple of tablespoons of cooking oil and allow it to shimmer, which should take about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the pan. Sauté them for 2-3 minutes, until they turn pink and opaque throughout.
  3. In the same pan, add more oil if needed, and toss in the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the mushrooms soften and become golden.
  4. Next, incorporate the snow peas. Stir-fry for an additional 1-2 minutes until they turn bright green and become tender-crisp.
  5. Return the cooked shrimp to the pan and add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and a drizzle of sesame oil. Toss all ingredients together for about 1 minute.
  6. Season your dish with salt and pepper to taste. Allow everything to cook together for another minute until heated through.
