  • 1 pound Ground Beef or ground turkey for a leaner option
  • 1 cup Bell Peppers mixed red and green
  • 1 medium Onion red, chopped
  • 2 cups Cooked Rice or cauliflower rice for a low-carb option
For the Cheese Sauce
  • 4 tablespoons Butter or dairy-free butter for lactose-free
  • 2 tablespoons Flour or gluten-free flour
  • 1 cup Creamer or plant-based milk
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese provolone or cheddar, or vegan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Mustard
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the ground beef. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, breaking it into small pieces until fully browned.
  2. In the same skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add diced onions and bell peppers, sautéing for 5-6 minutes until soft.
  3. In a separate saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over low heat. Whisk in 2 tablespoons of flour and crushed garlic, cooking for 1 minute.
  4. Gradually pour in 1 cup of creamer while stirring for about 3-4 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  5. Remove the saucepan from heat and mix in 1 cup of shredded cheese along with ground mustard, salt, and pepper until melted.
  6. Divide the cooked rice into bowls, followed by the browned ground beef, sautéed vegetables, and drizzle the cheese sauce over the top.
