Step-by-Step Instructions
- Prepare the Peaches: Start by peeling and finely chopping 2 cups of ripe yellow or white peaches and nectarines, or pulse them briefly in a food processor until you have a chunky puree. Set aside the fruit mixture.
- Combine Yogurt and Fruit: In a large mixing bowl, add your chopped peaches or nectarines to 2 cups of Greek or regular plain full-fat yogurt. Mix them together thoroughly until it's well combined.
- Incorporate Sweeteners and Flavorings: Stir in 2/3 cup of honey, 1 1/2 teaspoons of Tahitian vanilla extract, and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon if desired. Mix well.
- Chill the Mixture: Cover the bowl and refrigerate the yogurt mixture for 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Freeze in Ice Cream Maker: Transfer the mixture to your ice cream maker, following manufacturer’s instructions to churn until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
- Serve or Store the Yogurt: Serve immediately for a soft-serve experience, or freeze for 2-4 hours for a firmer texture.
