Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a Bundt pan.
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Incorporate eggs one at a time, then fold in mashed sweet potatoes and vanilla extract.
  4. Mix dry ingredients separately, then combine with wet ingredients alternately with milk.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 50 to 60 minutes.
  6. Prepare the butter glaze by boiling butter, sugar, and water; stir in vanilla.
  7. Poke holes in the warm cake and pour the glaze over it for added moisture.
  8. Let the cake cool in the pan for 20 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
