Ingredients

For the Pizzadilla
  • 2 large Flour Tortillas Swap for whole wheat or gluten-free for a healthier twist.
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese Cheddar makes for a sharper alternative, while vegan cheese caters to dairy-free diets.
  • 1/2 cup Pizza Sauce Marinara or barbecue sauce make for tasty substitutions.
  • 1/2 cup Pepperoni Slices Consider using cooked chicken or veggies for a vegetarian variation.
For Optional Toppings
  • 1/4 cup Sliced Black Olives Try jalapeños instead for heat.

Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • Baking Sheet
  • spatula

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by heating a large skillet over medium heat. Place one large flour tortilla in the skillet to warm up for about 30 seconds.
  2. Sprinkle half a cup of shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the warmed tortilla, placing a second tortilla on top. Cook for 2 to 4 minutes, flipping gently to cook until golden-brown.
  3. Once both sides are golden and cheese is melted, spread pizza sauce over the top tortilla, add remaining mozzarella and pepperoni slices. Sprinkle optional olives if using.
  4. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Transfer the topped pizzadilla to a baking sheet and bake for 5 to 10 minutes until bubbly and slightly browned.
  5. Let the pizzadilla cool for a minute before slicing into wedges and serve immediately with a side of salad or your favorite dipping sauce.
