Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Marinate the chicken by cutting into bite-sized pieces and combining it with light soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, sugar or honey, and optional rice wine vinegar. Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the garlic by smashing it to release fragrant oils.
  3. Heat cooking oil in a wok over medium-high heat and sauté smashed garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add marinated chicken to the skillet and stir-fry until opaque and lightly browned, about 5–7 minutes.
  5. Add sliced zucchini and cook for 3–5 minutes until tender yet crunchy.
  6. Combine cooked chicken with zucchini and oyster sauce, stirring until well combined and heated through. Sprinkle with black pepper if desired.
