Step-by-Step Instructions for Chicken and Rice Casserole
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or oil.
  2. Melt a tablespoon of butter in a skillet, add diced onion, and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent. Stir in minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
  3. Combine shredded chicken, cooked rice, chicken broth, sautéed onion, garlic, diced carrots, and peas in a large mixing bowl. Mix well.
  4. Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish, spread evenly, and sprinkle cheese on top.
  5. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45-50 minutes, until liquid is absorbed.
